A school that you would be proud to call Home…
We love our tight-knit, family atmosphere! Souvenir prides itself on knowing every student by name and fostering a warm, home-away-from-home environment.
We balance bilingualism with a true 50/50 English and French immersion experience- starting in Pre-Kindergarten!
We are rich with multiculturalism! Souvenir celebrates the diverse backgrounds of our families and prepares our students for a globalized world.
The Heart of Souvenir Elementary
Our Philosophy for Success, Our Mission for Community, and Our Vision for the Future
At Souvenir Elementary School, we believe deeply that every single child can succeed. We know that the foundation of this success is built on strong, positive communication between our families, students, and staff. Together, we are dedicated to creating an engaging, collaborative, and equitable environment where each child’s well-being and unique potential come first. In our diverse and respectful community, we empower students to truly love learning, achieve their personal best, and gain the life-long skills they need to take proud ownership of their emotional, social, and physical well-being.
Our historical legacy
Did you know? Our building was originally founded as a high school for the St-Martin School Board in 1963!
For over 60 years, Souvenir has been a cornerstone of the Chomedey community. While we have grown and adapted to modern educational needs, our core tradition remains the same: providing a meaningful, challenging, and deeply caring environment where every student belongs.
Parent Participation
Our Souvenir parents are an invaluable part of the team! They organize events, improve facilities, fundraise tirelessly- and lots more. We welcome and encourage parents to volunteer and participate in our school community for the benefit of all students. Please see information in our Governing Board and Home & School tabs for more information.
